Could he be a bargain for us if the Winston release starts a idding competition for his services? Pros: With the talent on our OL a decent player should be god enough to elevate the line play to the excellent 2010 level. Also we would not allocate such a disproportionately high amount of the cap on the OL. Collins is young and should come at a moderate price. Cons: Sanchez needs all the help he can get (plus a run game making PA plays a relevant threat again) and Winston is the superior and proven player. I don't know anything about this guy, but if he can shore up the right side of the line and get the ground game going... I am all for it. We need to run the football, badly. If we can run the football effectively I believe Sanchez's play will improve dramatically. I am the party for run heavy offense. Run, run, run, run, run, run and play-action.
The article says he's played significant time in 3 games in his 3 year career. Apparently the Bengals tried to move him to guard and it was a failure because he isn't smart enough to play there. That's a REALLY bad sign. http://www.cincyjungle.com/2012/2/2...thony-collins-to-guard-lewis-feels-good-about
Not a bad idea but I think the team would go with Ducasse/Hunter unless they're signing more of a sure thing. I do kind of like the Manny Lawson idea though.
