Interesting for sure! I like the moves the jets did and it’s totally JD.

Highly doubt Wyatt goes before Davis. Especially in a trade up. Just can’t see it.

Karlaftis at 24 is a stretch I doubt he falls that far.

cross falling to 20 is shocking as well.

great effort Max I love reading this stuff

There has been a lot of speculation of the Saints trading up. IMO, the Jets should be able to do better than 16 & 19, maybe a 2023 2nd rounder added, it's the Saints that want that deal, they need to sweeten it.

I love all your players. Can JD wait till Williams is 100%??? I might have taken Olave, we need players to be ready to go, it could be JD's last year if we don't produce.

    Good Job!!!!

Whatever extra the Jets could get in the trade would be great but I think this is a realistic return from the Saints.

I think they can hang on to Williams, they can run half a season with their top 3 WR’s plus the 2 TE’s if necessary. They can also draft another WR later just in case, or sign a guy after the draft. They will be a run heavy offense regardless

I think we could bring back cole on a cheap 1 year deal if we drafted a guy like williams and give berrios the WR3 spot. mims is also a wild card for us. Not sure we need 2 WRs but if 1 fell we could grab them. wandale could fall to the 4th. landing him and a RB like ford in the 4th would give us good depth for offensive skill positions and a guy like cole who knows the playbook would be good insurance for injury until williams could play.

I do like how this would turn out for us. add in anderson or a LBer who fell out of the 2nd at 69 and DT eliss and S marquese bell in the 5th and the draft would look like

    10 johnson
    16 williams
    19 linderbaum
    35 hill
    38 jones
    69 anderson
    111 wandale
    117 ford
    146 elliss
    163 bell

I like the versatility of Dax Hill, because the Jets could use Carter II as the primary nickel when facing teams with those traditional smaller slot WR’s and Hill when opponents have flex TE’s or big slot WR’s. You can also use Hill as the nickel against run heavy teams, since we know that’s a weakness of Carter II.

Jones bolsters interior run defense, and can provide some interior pocket pushing. Johnson is an instant run defense upgrade and hopefully a legitimate edge rusher.

A healthy OL of Fant, Tomlinson, Linderbaum, Vera-Tucker, and Becton would be a nightmare in the rushing attack, especially working out of 12 personnel.

Williams could start as a designated deep threat, opening things up for Moore and Davis underneath, and eventually become a more full time weapon.

Triple down on run game—>play action for offense, and dominating the LOS on defense.

It depends on the Saints wanting to move up but I think it’s a real possibility.

If the Saints are willing to do better than 16 and 19, why wouldn’t they trade with the Texans? It’s well known they’re looking to trade down.

I like the focus on the run and OLine, 12 personnel etc… I’d switch out Williams for Lloyd - I don’t see Anderson dropping out the 2nd.

Texans trading out of 3 would be a good thing for us as I feel the team moving up is going for either a QB or OT.

You just go as high as you need to for your purposes right? If they are just trying to jump the Panthers, you only need to get to 4 or 5

every time i see the trade of 16,19 for 4 i get an immediate negative reaction -- thinking over-optimistically perhaps that we won't be in the cellar again so this may be one of the last chances to draft that high and get a real elite talent

but the draft you have mitigates that quite a lot: williams and linderbaum in slots that feel right

    Nice work!

    (I'd still keep 4 though)

rumors i'm hearing is the QB market is heating up. teams are really liking willis, ridder, and picket. all 3 are expected to go top 15 with 2 in the top 10.

Would love that trade down. I'm not as excited about their options at 4 and would much prefer to move back to the mid first where I think there's much better value.
