Looks like we picked up another body, John Ojo. From the CLF. He will either play cornerback or free safety. Had a great 15 season but ended up with ankle problems. Seems to have recovered as he passed the physical. Could be a short term help in the secondary, where we need players.
I was wondering who was going to post this first. When the highlights are as good as his and you go undrafted and end up in the cfl...thats a red flag to me. Hes supposed to be a good kid but i wonder. ..i didn't see any highlights at cb only fs. He hits hard and is extremely athletic ...we definitely need that.
Yep, 6-3, 200, 4.5, became a league All-Star covering wide-outs on the CFL field. Played safety at Florida A&M. Sounds worth a look to me. MacC was the personnel guy for the Saskatchewan Roughriders for a few years before coming to NYJ. I'm sure he still has a few contacts.
Tore his achilles so not a bad signing and they might start him out at safety. Low risk, high reward maybe?
the equivalent of robbie anderson signing for the defense. low cost, potential, could be astute under-the -radar move.
Like i said in my earlier reply...he looks like a thumper. Seems to have above average ball skills and can cover the field well. I just hope he has fully recovered.
Why do you think so? You may be right...the highlights are good though. Hopefully our new scouts will find 2 or 3 diamonds in the rough.
Hopefully he is finally ready to contribute! I remember the ine corner we had...left us and became a baller at FS for the Colts i believe. Cant think of his name but he constantly got burnt for us. The change saved his career.
Just watch some video and this guy brings the lumber. He was blowing up people. I counted at least 5 head hunts penalties. But he looks good in the box and in coverage.
Especially if it's held on by bandages. The guy has spent more time in the hospital than Corporal Klinger.
Is funny how most of you that call him camp fodder simply because of where he has been have no freaking clue as to who he really is, what his capabilities are and what his potential could be. We really have nothing to loose, so he is by definition a damned good risk to take.
This is what you do when you have a ton of holes. You uncover every stone. It's almost similar to what the nets are doing minus the high draft pick. You try to find the best D-Leaguers or a young kid who needs a change of scenery...you find bodies then see what you can fit in there.
