http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/0900...ed-in-tcus-dalton-qb-generating-a-lot-of-buzz Wow, along with Locker it seems like Dalton's been flying up draft boards of late. Personally, I think the Titans would be way better off going with Fairley and then moving up into the later first to get Dalton if they want him that badly.
Smokescreen!! in the next 48 hours ten thousand rumors are going to start flying around and for the most part, none of them can be believed. Hell if we can believe 5 things said in the next 48 hours before Goodell steps to the podium and opens up the draft on thursday night
I didn't really believe that either. but it hasnt worked out as planned for KC has it. Tennessee would be much better served taking Fairley at 8 and trading up to get Dalton if that is who the really want to come away from this year with.
If you like a prospect, you have to take him...especially if that prospect is a quarterback. It would most definitely be a reach, but if Dalton's their guy, then he should be the pick. That move will make or break that GM's job.
The titans currently have no one at QB, so they need to do something. All the pre draft talk went from "I wouldn't draft one of these gusy in the first round" to "we could see 5 qb's go in the first round" in the last few days. Looks like as the smoke starts to clear its going to be a QB market early in and often in this one unless some pretty knowledgeable guys have been duped.
Shit that comes out this late is typically pretty good info. We knew the Jets were taking Robertson a few days before the draft. We knew the Jets were going to trade up for Sanchez a few days before the draft. Even in the 2007 draft, my friend called me 2 hours before the pick and said he heard were going to trade up for Revis. This shit isn't ALL secrets and smokescreens like everyone thinks. Real info does get out there- especially this close to the draft. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this story was completly true.
All we can hope for is that teams will make major reaches for QBs and leave more defensive players to fall down the board to the Jets.
