    Ex-Eagles star Waters dead at 44

    Macon, GA (Sports Network) - Fort Valley State University assistant football coach and former Philadelphia Eagles safety Andre Waters died early Monday morning.

    According to a report in the Macon Telegraph, family members informed University officials that Waters had passed.

    A 12-year NFL veteran with the Eagles (1984-93) and Arizona Cardinals (1994-95), Waters played in 157 career NFL games and amassed 15 interceptions and 3 1/2 sacks.
