Per JC, one of Bradways safeties is back on the practice squad....

Jets add Maddox to practice squad

    By Dan Leberfeld

    Posted Dec 13, 2006

On Wednesday, the Jets added safety Andre Maddox to the practice squad.

Maddox was a fourth round pick of the Jets in 2005, but blew his knee out in his first training camp.

He was then released this past August.

Wasn't he supposed to be what Kerry Rhodes is for us?

He was a 5th round pick. Not a 4th rounder.

Parcells had congratulated that pick saying he was the best special teams player in that draft.

Supposidly he's a tackling machine, good in run support. Maybe with E Smith being inactive last week we can finally get a look at Maddox. He must have something for Mangini to bring him back.

He's on the practice squad, he can't be activated for games. Unless they sign him to the active roster, but that would mean cutting someone.

I am pleasantly suprised he's on the PS. When he was cut I didn't know if he was a Turd, not a Mangini guy, or just not good enough. Mangini must like something about this kid. Let's hope he climbs the ranks and gets on the field one day.

Theres another safety, something Thompson (#38, played on special teams, I didn't even knew he was on the team till I saw him playing at the Bills game) He's a candidate to get cut........

Maddox was a psycho coming out of college and just had the worst possible luck.

If we couldve had Rhodes at FS an Maddox at SS we wouldve had one hell of a pair of safeties. Feel bad for the guy cuz he was a pick I was very excited about after having watched him at NCSU. Wasnt the best in coverage but could lay a helluva hit.
