Clearly we know now, neither option is good. But we had to try something different.
If Geno is your guy, you still pull him so he doesn't get killed in a meaningless game.

As bad as Vick was, he still played better than Geno. And that without having had the benefit of taking 90+% of the first team snaps in practice during both the pre-season and regular season. The O-line is just not doing the job as a unit.

In the meantime, laughing at the failure of either of our QBs, regardless of your personal preference at the position, does not speak highly of you as a fan, be it since 1995 or last week.

The tale of the tape below says that Vick was the better QB today:

Vick was 3/13 before that garbage time final drive.

    Geno outplayed Vick today.

Put down the crack pipe and walk away slowly.

Vick wins in the most important statistic.

He did not turn the ball over, not even once.

Hahahaha, another ridiculous stat in this game. Geno's only turnover was a garbage time hail mary. That shit doesn't count towards how well he actually played.

Did geno come in cold off the bench down 21-0 with the defense sitting on pass? Vick looked awful but let's not act like this was an apples to apples comparison. The people acting like it is and posting all this bs are either stupid or too emotional about the situation.

It would be nice to see what vick could do with a week of practice with the 1s and the start.

Not that it matters this week anyway. Peyton is dropping 40 on Rex's vaunted defense.

Wish Geno could get a week of practice with the 1s. Too bad half of them sit out of practice all week.

Your refreshing voice of reason is like a beacon illuminating an otherwise darkened sea of the loud and hysterically ignorant.

So it went from Vick needing to relieve Geno in game to Vick needing a full weeks worth of practice with the 1's?

Vick was supposed to be the vet QB that if called upon was ready to contribute at a moments notice. If we needed a backup that needed a week of practice then they would've stuck with Simms.

I thought this game would open some people's eyes to the bigger issue(s) but I guess not.

Btw no matter who played QB today they would've stood no chance.

woohoo they both aren't good..congrats man!!

now you can go on a message board and rub your own fanbases noses in your "favorite" teams failures.

    how awesome!

here's the reality which we should all be pretty aware of.

this entire team sucks outside of chris ivory and our d line.

So let me get this straight, we can't properly judge Geno after 21 games with the Jets of piss-poor performance. But we can judge Vick after one half of a game which he entered with a 21 point deficit? Oh the irony .

Let me make myself clear, though neither are going to solve the issues with this offense, it is clear that Geno is NOT the answer and never will be. Therefore, you should play whichever QB performs better regardless of your "investment." I'm sick and tired of hearing this theory that they must stick with Geno because of a wasted second round pick. In the words of a wise man: "You play to win the game"

Don't be so quick to use the 21 points to bolster your argument. One can easily make the case that with a 21 point lead at home, San Diego dialed back their defensive intensity in the second half.

Geno is a young developing QB. Vick is a vet so therefore you know what you have in him. Two different things.

Except that they didn't. They blitzed us almost every play for the entire game.

Nope. While they're getting closer to a verdict on Smith, the jury is still out. With Vick, it's case closed.
