I recognize all of the deficiencies that have been on display in the Jets performance over the past few weeks. But I'm trying to maintain my optimism and thinking about this helped: Earlier in the season, the Jets came off of a loss to Oakland, a poor team they absolutely should have beaten, and followed it by barely winning over an equally (if not more) poor team, the Chiefs, thanks to poor coaching by our old friend, Herm. Everybody was upset and it looked like the season was going nowhere. Soon after, the Jets destroyed a bad NFC West team (the rams), setting them up for a stirring victory over a hated division rival (the pats) followed by a huge win over a great team (the titans). Now, the Jets are coming off of a loss to San Francisco, a poor team they absolutely should have beaten, and followed it by barely winning over an equally poor team, the Bills, thanks to poor coaching by Jauron. Again, everyone's obviously upset. But now we're again facing a bad NFC West team followed by a hated division rival. Let's hope for a similar result - hopefully we destroy the seahawks, propelling us to beat miami and hopefully have huge wins in the playoffs. It's a very similar scenario.
Yup, our playoffs started last week and we were 1 run away from getting knocked out. Until "El Fumble 420"
I thought about this exact same thing shortly after the Bills game. Hopefully the same thing happens this time.
We need to realize that our defense is not going to stop the pass! When in the position we are on in defense the offense has to score early and often. this has been the problem the last three weeks. we don't score enough to compensate for our defensive deficiencies. Lets get it done!!!
I also saw the parallel...following the pattern, that means we will win 4 more games which means another division title and another heartbreaking loss in the championship game. Too bad it wasn't a 6 game streak....at this point, I would sign on for a AFC Championship and a loss in the SB
