I'd take a look at Rogers...I know he's not a Mangini type of guy, but he's still young and talented.
I wouldn't mind Calico or taking a chance at Rogers. McNeal duplicates what we have in Brad Smith. I'm still not sure what is so good about Tim Dwight. The rest can go somewhere else.
watts is halfway decent, possibly calico. rogers is lazy, mangini would crap down his mouth, but maybe that's what he needs.
I don't know what type of person needs someone to take a crap in his mouth, but I certainly wouldn't want someone like that on my football team...
when i saw rogers name last night all i could think was what is the harm in giving him a shot? i dont see any harm, he cant ask for much money, he has been injured and has as much talent as anyone on this team. i say give him a shot if it doesnt work out no harm, if it does we could have a very very very good wr for next to nothing.
Rogers could be a main guy here is he can stay healthy but Warrick and Calico would be good for depth, the thing is any depth WRs we get are looking to be in the number 4 spot at least because we like Brad Smith and also Tim Dwight is pretty damn good too so in 4 wide sets it would be nice to also see him on the field.....
They were cut for a reason. Our WR corps is fine. We don't need head cases or busts from someone else's team.
If we pick one of these guys up, who gets cut? Coles? Cotchery? McCareins? Smith? Why take up a valuable roster spot for a 6th WR? And the Jets are not taking the cap hit on McCareins, who people forget was better than Moss in 2004.
Warrick is the only one I would be interested in. Rogers not only has a bad attitude, but broke his collar bone twice. If people insist Penny is fragile, then what does that make Rogers?
The Jet's needs at this point are: 1. Tailback. 2. Defensive Tackle. 3. Defensive End. 4. Right tackle. 5. Wide Receiver. I'd spend capital elsewhere if I was the Jets. Unless a very good wide receiver like Branch suddenly becomes available they are better off going with what they have for the season. We still need to find out what kind of player Jerrico Cotchery is when the games start to count.
I really think they need to take serious looks at Calico, Rogers, and Watts. I'm suprised so many young, quality recievers are available.
