Yeah, I have and it might be a good move. Teams need two backs these days and Ryan has already said his plan is to run, run and run some more. Moreno is a local product so it seems to be a good fit.

The Moreno pick is understandable. TJ is 30 so he'll need a replacement in the near future. Moreno's value is somewhere around the middle of the first where the Jets pick. So it's no surprise that many people who don't follow the Jets would expect that selection.

Knowing our new coach, however, I think it's likely the Jets go CB. Two CB who could handle man coverage frees up the defense to go with more pressure. And I think that's the scheme Ryan will want run - whether it's a 46 variant or a more standard 3-4. He's going to use an attacking, blitzing defense that requires the CB to handle recievers one-on-one. And since we only have Revis who could do that now, CB makes for a likely pick. Also it's good value at that point in the draft. We should get the 2nd or 3rd best CB available this year.

Our biggest achilles heel last season was our LB's. and DB's. If these areas aren't addressed in either FA, or the draft, my head is gonna EXPLODE!!!

Yeh I see a future need, but why not grab a running back then, in the future. Rookie RBs can and do make an impact, no reason to bring in a guy to groom, waste of a pick IMO. That wouldbe a luxury pick we can't afford to make, and there is some guys I like better that we can grab in the second

Moreno is only a good pick if Sanchez, Jenkins, and Maclin are all off the board. Obviously we need a great run game in Rex's system, but A power back like Shonn Green makes much more sense to me.

I'm becoming less inclined to draft a CB in the 1st with Greer and McFadden in FA and guys like Macho Harris/Darius Butler/Mike Mickens available in the 2nd.

I absolutely agree. I think in general it's a much better strategy to build up the OL and go with a late round pick or UDFA. It's worked for Denver & Pittsburgh pretty well for years. Look at the success of Willie Parker and the legion of 1000 yard nobody rushers the Broncos have had. Get a good line and rookie RB can come in and do well behind it.
