Draft day cant get here any sooner, i have heard john abraham offered for everyone in the league but mike nugent, they are gonna draft everyone who has a heartbeat, and everyone has a theory on chad. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Ok, i'm dont venting. Have a great day.
You can look at it that way, but I tend to look at it as, after the season we had last year, this speculation and the possibility of getting some quality talent I find more stimulating than the memories of 4-12.
I wouldnt mind it so much if they were actually...well thought out ideas....Im sick of all the "lets take cutler at 4....what about o-line DEPTH, LB Depth, NT....We have way to many needs to solve them all with one pick. SO FORGET ABOUT USING THE 4 OR TRADING UP WONT HAPPEN...I want somebody to show me the logic behind staying put...and how we can still build the team, with our cap issues? CALLING YOU OUT
There is pretty good depth with the O'Line in this years draft. NT could be resolved with our 2nd round pick if we get Watson. I don't mind drafting Cutler at 4. If we can get a trade done with Abe, we could get another 1st round pick where we could possibly address the OL there with Mangold then in the 3rd and 4th round picks use for more O'Lmen. I'm not totally worried about LB. We have our starting 3 and we can pick up one in FA
You're new kid- it's like this every year. The only way to avoid all of the scenarios is to not log on....
No i'm not new, i just started posting. I just wish people would use their brains a bit more. We've already heard "Take cutler at 4" DO we really need to hear it 500 more times?
You're going to turn blue in the face, people don't get it...It's best to just look for posts put together by those members whose opinions you actually value, and cut out the rest...
This is an excellent observation, KOZ. No one wants to read repetitive, meaningless drivel. I find myself gravitated toward reading posts by people with fresh ideas. I think guys who continuously pound on the same thought or who repetitively promulgate mostly unsubstantiated rumors not only do the board a great injustice, they considerably diminish their own stock as a meaningful poster.
KOZ, I would be willing to bet you have cut me out of your diet of literary stimulation. I post a lot, but I don't think I am a whore. I just like TGG and I am a mega-Jet fan.
Nah you aren't cut out at all- just some of this stuff is soooooooo far fetched that it really shouldn't be posted....Not a biggie, you just learn to look past it. BTW just saw your post in BS- congrats.
With all this talk about trading up or trading down I think we should just stay put at #4 and PLEASE TAKE Dbrick and hopefully " I dream of Mangini " will trade Abe but to a team with a high number one. So where do these teams stand. 1) Houston --- Dont think this will happen 12) Cleveland -- THIS IS THE SPOT 22) Washington - To me this seems a long way down for Abe 29) Denver ----- ONLY if no one above trades for Abe.
I think so too. Weeks ago we were talking about trading down and taking him around 8-12. Now, with his excellent showing at the combine and Vince Young's 6 or 16 or whatever it was, I'm concerned Cutler will be gone before Young even. Let's hope all the Young score stuff settles down and we're still able to pick up Cutler at #4.
You start this post saying you're tired of hearing the same old stuff all the time ie. the draft and what happens? It turns into a draft thread. There are periods like this every year like last year with the Ty Law thing. We talked about that for weeks. It's just part of the cycle.
