http://deadspin.com/sports/lowbrow/alex-rodriguez-amateur-urologist-260054.php Not to be outdone by the Brewers and their rectal exams, Alex Rodriguez appears to have decided to give Yankees pitcher Chien-Ming Wang a free urological exam in the middle of the game. This curious AP photo was snapped Thursday during the Yankees 14-2 loss to the Rangers. It came after Alex Rodriguez botched a rundown situation between third and the plate, and then seemed to be contemplating a way he could make it up to Wang. I know what you're thinking, but the concentration and intensity on Alex's face contradicts the notion that anything dirty is going on here. They're not that kind of people, and this isn't that kind of website. Fun with captions.... [BlownCoverage.com] Yankees' Wang hit hard by Rangers [Yahoo!]
Weak! Oh no they're hugging, OMG it shatters my view of them...... http://wcbstv.com/watercooler/local_story_051110757.html http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2006/12/19/sports/s162339S18.DTL http://www.realgmbaseball.com/src_feature/419/20061028/

The response with Manny and Ortiz's half-hug, common procedure in baseball, is kind of thin-skinned seeming. Come on, you CANNOT argue the fact that the A-Rod picture is hilarious. Look at his face. He's definitely in deep study there.
Actually, it was Posada who botched the rundown but let's not let the facts get in the way of a good story.
Are you serious? If Rodriguez throws the ball to Wang covering at the plate, he has the runner out by 5 feet. Posada made the right play by running the runner back to third. Did you see the play?
Of course I'm serious. Posada never ran him back to third. He stopped 25 feet from home and threw it to Arod. Arod knew if he threw it to Wang the chances are he would lose his pitcher again as he would have been trampled. You don't set your pitcher up to act like a catcher in that circumstance.
