Faneca was a good player for the Jets. I was concerned that we unloaded him too soon, but it looks like it was the right call. He's done now, after just 1 year with the Cards.

Alan made the right choice. His play has declined rapidly since we signed him three years ago. He was solid for us year 1, ok year 2, and nearly garbage for arizona last year. Slauson stepped up an played well. At least as well as Fanaca did for us in 2009 if not better. As he improves, Slauson will probably get to be at least as good for us as Faneca circa 2008. He won't ever be Faneca in his prime, but he has a shot to be pretty damn good for us.

How will Arizona ever survive this season without his veteran leadership? Look at how his loss negatively impacted the Jets and trashed the performance of the OL and team in 2010. Wait, that didn't happen to the Jets, did it? Somebody alert Cimini.
