What Jones did seemed more retaliatory than anything. Yeah, he came into that pileup late, but it looked like he was getting shoved about a bit, too, before doing what he did. I thought the refs got a few big calls wrong today.

Jones got caught taking a swipe at someone's face. It was a dumb play. Rex did the right thing by pulling him for the next series to let him know how dumb it was. Its obvious that we have a hard enough time putting up points on this day, to take us back 15 yards was extremely selfish and stupid. It would seem both Jones and Faneca learned nothing from Bart Scott last week.

NFL players have no brains and cause dumb penalties it's obvious. Both Jones and Faneca killed us with their dumb penalties today.

The issue I have with the Jones play was the shoving was going on for a while before they finally threw the flag. At the very least Jones should have been flagged but when shoving goes on like that for a while there should have been another flag thrown against the Falcons. The same possesion Sanchez got flagged for grounding which was shite because it looked like Keller ran the wrong route. I can live with the call but I got fired up when they didn't call it on Ryan in almost the same situation.
This loss was a team effort, ST botch 3 FG's, Offense completely fell apart with bonehead PF penalties and just utter incompetence, and the only qualm I have with the defense was the 5 easy picks, 2 would have easily been for 6, and we came up with nothing, well actually Rhodes' missed chance in the EZ wasn't easy, but goddamn he had a good chance!
TJ pissed me off today. He has been classy, but that last shove was so unnecessary. Besides, the penalty should have first been on Falcons cuz their player pushed Mangold to start off with.
Players need to step it up. If you're a Jet, you make sure the guy doesn't show up for the next play. If the referee needs to be bewildered because there are no longer enough players to play the game, so be it.
