Roto: Isnt this the same thing Crabtree got? Will see how it effects him, I hope to god he doesnt fall out of the Top 15 and go to a team like the Pats just because of this. He shouldnt but I wonder if this will nerve teams at all.
But crabtree didnt work out at the combine because of his foot right? Julio not only worked out but put up GREAT numbers I don't think there is anyway Julio drops out of the top ten let alone fall to the patriots.. whether he falls a little and then the Pats trade up.. is a different story
Are you kidding... he posted those ridicolus numbers at the combine with a broken foot! He showed immense athletic potetial and a high pain management level... if anything he only boosted his stock. If the Redskins don't take him they're a bunch of morons.
Im not comparing him to Crabtree, not at all, I think Jones has more potential then Crabtree he's really an exciting prospect. Just saying there having similar surgeries. All im talking about if the surgery will effect his stock at all.
Again Im talking about if the surgery effects his stock. Not saying he's not a Top 10 player, which he certainly is, just wondering if teams will pass up on him or get shaky just because of the surgery.
How is the surgery going to affect his stock when he kicked ass with it. Now he heals and he's better. Teams will overlook this and see that the kid competes when injured.
If anything, it effects his stock positively. It shows he has a high threshold for pain, you can't measure that. Broken wrist, broken hand, or fractured foot, it's just a day in the life of Julio Jones. He's like the Incredible Hulk, the more damage inflicted, the stronger he performs. He won't fall past the Rams...
This kid is gonna be a beast, he'll go top 10 imo. There's no way he makes it past St. Louis if he does fall out of the top 10. If he makes it to St. Louis...watch out NFC. Bradford to Jones will be deadly for the next decade plus.
And I'm saying his injury will boost his stock instead of lowering it because he showed he can be a terrific athlete and WR even though hurt.
Which is impressive by all means, Surgeries can shake a staff the wrong way even on a solid prospect and make them go a different position, a guy who would be healthier. Itd be a stupid move if you need a WR, of course, Im not saying that or judging his ability, Im just saying it could make a team pass him just for that simple fact.
This is an incredibly minor surgery, it should have absolutely no effect on his stock. Like many people have said, the fact that he did what he did at the combine despite the injury says a lot about both his athletic ability and heart. Even if the injury takes 4 months to fully heal, which a more realistic timeline, he'll be back with a month to spare before TC.
