just got release should we pick him up any thoughts http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2836410
ive like al for a while...bring him into camp with no promises, and we will see the beast....he can be a very good weapon..
Not gonna vote because it all depends on whether or not he's healthy. A healthy Al Wilson is a very good linebacker. There's a reason he was a fan favorite for the last half decade.
Does anyone ever think that a player might not wanna play for us. Al Wilson is an undersized LB, fast, but wouldn't play for the Jets who have an undesized MLB in Vilma, and he doesn't even remotely fit the system.
If he can be had for a cheap price, he is most certainly worth a try. He has tons of upside, if it doesn't work out, he will still be leaps and bounds better than Schlegel or Kassell.
If one of our linebackers get hurt, i wouldnt mind at all if it were al wilson filling in, rather than a rookie, come playoff time a veteran like al would be less of a headache for the coach. one would think.
