For any PC guys out there, this is the best MMORPG I've played since EQ Beta. It's a great waste of time and will work on almost any system. There have allready been 1k on 1k battles. It's FREE.
Im waiting for the old republic in order to play a mmorpg however i could easily see myself balking at the cost if they try to rip people off.
F2P games typically suck. Oh, if you want more than one bank slot we need $29.99 for the bank slot potion. If you want both boots we need $49.99 for the calling of the second boot potion. I did EQ since release until Gates of Discord. I'm on EQ2 right now when time permits. I've tried a handful of other free MMO's, but you always fall behind if your not willing to dump a couple hundred bucks a month to buy stuff. I pay $14.99 a month for EQ2. No reason to spend more.
havent gotten deep into an MMO since WoW's inception and quit a lil after a year simply because it had eaten up too much time. white knight chronicles on PS3 was a nice grind and customize deal, but again i got too busy to keep playing. my computer is otudated, so im prolly jus gonna keep my nose clean and try to throw together a new system when FF14 comes out, then its the wait for Diablo 3
They have made it pretty clear as far as Aika goes that you will not need to spend anything to remain competitive. The store is going to be primarily for outfit variation for your little follower and yourself. Maybe they will add some stuff to make crafting easier (less fails, etc), but according to them you will be able to get all the same armor and weapons (at least stat wise) without paying. Sure, some of the people will look cooler, but I'm not playing Barbies here. The best part is, if they go back on that and the game is no longer enjoyable, I will have never spent a dime.
