I was just looking at line backers that will be in the draft this year, and i noticed that Brooks will be entering the supplamental draft this year due to academic problems. This guy would have been a top 10 pick next year but these problems really messed up his draft status. From what i understand the supplamental draft works by teams will offer a pick in a round and if they are granted the player thay will lose that pick in next years draft. For example Manule Wright was drafted in the supplamental draft last year by Miami so in this years draft Miami won't have a fifth round pick. Brooks hits like a truck, rushes the passer like a beast, covers real well, and doesn't have many character problems (I don't think, I haven't heard of any), his major flaws are acdemic problems, and inexperience. So to my question, would you guys be upset if we picked this guy up in the supplamental draft for a 2nd round pick to play OLB next year. This way we don't need to draft Hawk. Let me know

Yeah I was going to say nothing higher than a fifth. I would think that this could end up being a steal if he gets his act together. The kid has talent.

I'd definetly give a second day pick for him, him and Vilma in the middle of a 3-4 would be great. I was wondering what happened to him, I thought he'd be going in the first round this year but I hadn't seen him in any mocks or anything.

He got kicked off of school recently and missed the date for Juniors to commit...From a 2nd-3rd round pick had he left to get in the millions, to a 1st rounder next season where he would of gotten more millions...

    Ouch.

Yikes. Still a pretty good talent though.

I don't care if a 2nd is high for the supplamental draft this guy is worth it. Figure he would have been a top ten pick next year if not for this problem so getting him for just a second is a huge steal. I feel getting him for a 1st would be a problem because that pick next year shold be used to upgrade our running back problem.
