I am 100% on board with this if it’s the plan Fields - no reason to see him again…we know he sucks even if he doesn’t Taylor - again, probably the best QB on our roster, but he gets hurt too often and at this point, there is like no upside to him at all Play Cook and see if he can show flashes…maybe his ceiling is backup next year…if so, fine it is what it is, but let’s see if he can show anything over these last few games Martinez can back up Cook…just to have a body in at QB if Cook goes down

The crazy thing is, Cook and Martinez may actually be our best options either way. Tyrod is broken physically and Fields mentally. I mean Tyrod literally got hurt on a handoff. And the fragility may be impacting his play too - he looked like total garbage even before he got hurt. And I think Cook and Martinez can pass for more than 60 yards a game, which is better than most Fields' games. Crazy to think about it but the preseason PS QB we had are in fact our best options now, even though Fields and Tyrod are not really dealing with anything serious. They are just done at this point.

You got the Colts bringing in a 44 year old Rivers, the Jets are doing a full circle with Martinez and we're all talking about the need to NOT burn major draft capital to trade up for "not sures" and "maybe's" in the draft. If this doesn't cement the Jets for a SB this season I don't know what does - I know that technically the Jets are eliminated but I think when they see how they perform next week the rest of the league will extend them a special golden ticket to the big game.

Gimme a chunky, off the couch Rivers over whatever QB abortion the Jets are trying to flush right now. Anyways, even if the Colts are wrong and Rivers is a mistake, this helps the Jets regardless
