I assume you watched the Gase press conference of 10/24 being cited. Have you also seen the Gregg Williams one from 10/25? Comparing the two may convince you that perhaps this is something you should care about. Which guy would you want to work for?
"You and most of this board are whinny (sic) bitches when it comes to the HC and this thread is proof of the complete lack of human decency when it comes to a HC who isn't producing" Does this represent criticism of opinions, or is it just another juvenile personal attack?
The state in which he left Miami is really all we need to show how bad Adam Gase is. That team is by far the worst in football and needs years to rebuild. They may very well not win a game this year. He ran Jay Ajayi out of town, and every year they got worse. Now he’s here with his same arrogant bullshit. He benchs our best player and embarrasses him, The offense looks horrible, and this clown will continue to ruin the team. We are looking at the next five years of really bad football. And I am concerned that he will ruin Sam Darnold.
Your embarrassing to humanity. This is about his lack of leadership per the title of the thread. As a leader, of a business, a team, you show concern for your fellow man. What the fuck do you think these guys miss the most when they retire? The brotherhood, fellowship, same as the military. That's bond you can't find in civilian life. When your leader, takes a fuck him, he's injured, not worth my time approach, it sends a message to every other player in the locker room. Losing the locker room will get him fired just as quick as losing on the field. What's the proof that he isn't producing????? Are you fucking serious? You just said "Gase is going to live or die based on actual results on the field. So far he hasn't done very well” once again your contradicting yourself, Trying to change the topic ,it's about his leadership, not performance.
The thread was worthy of both and I gave it both. I'm impressed you were smart enough to figure it out.
Haha, very succinctly stated. I can’t believe someone actually had the willful ignorance to pose that question. The better question is what proof is there that inspires any confidence in him producing as a HC?
It could, but the thing you're missing is that Douglas doesn't give a crap about this season. He isn't responsible for the present team, only for future teams. He has the task of rebuilding this team as quickly as he can. He is focused on the future, not this season. Wasting precious draft capital or cap space to sign some over-the-hill QB for a couple of games would be foolish and would hinder his ability to acquire young talent next offseason that can help the team for years, not just a couple of games in a season that's basically only about developing Sam and determining which players can help them going forward.
Fire the training staff along with Gase--we clearly don't know how to prepare a roster for the physical demands of the NFL. Half the roster injured before the middle of the season and scandals.
Disagree. While he does have the built in excuse of not having put this team together he is the GM and if he is so unprofessional that he doesn't care about this season he shouldn't be there. I believe the Jets will need a backup or two next year and going forward and now is already overdue to get an NFL quality one in place.
We'll just have to agree to disagree. IMO it would have been totally stupid to waste draft picks and cap space trying to put lipstick on the pig that is this season. Sometimes you just have to accept the inevitable, and move on, and I think that is what Douglas decided to do. It wouldn't have helped that much this season with all the other holes that we have, and those resources will be hopefully better put to use this next offseason and will help the Jets get to where they want to be faster. Most of us got excited about Sam, the additions of Bell, Crowder and Mosley, and got too optimistic. With a crappy OL, the injuries that happened to the OL and the lack of practice time they had, crappy CBs and no pass rush to speak of, and Enunwa and Williamson going down for the season early. We should have known this team was going to struggle this season. Some that hate Gase knew that it would.
Is that because we don't like being personally assaulted by strangers? Believe it or not some people come here to discuss real content and not just so they can feel like bigger people insulting people who disagree with them behind a keyboard and an anonymous name tag. Some of you guys are WAYYYYYYY to full of yourselves.
