its my understanding that once the whole Vilma thing is configured, we will owe the saints a 4th. Last year we recieved their 4th and this year it upgrades to at least a 3 based on PT, and if he is resigned before FA, then we recieve their 2nd round pick. However, we have to repay them our 4th round pick because they gave us theirs last year. That is just my understanding...
That's correct, the Jet's wanted some type of compensation in 2008's draft. So we basically borrowed the Saints pick for 1 year. Since Vilma met playing time etc., it has esculated to a 3rd Round pick. GM...that Mock is incorrect. To be honest, know one knows the exact draft order, especially Rounds 3-7.......that will be announced by the NFL when comp picks are given out at the end of March. Many speculate the draft order from information on trades,teams records etc, but it won't be official for another 6 weeks.
