Defensive end John Abraham arrived in Seattle on Tuesday night and will visit Seahawks headquarters today. Abraham, 27, has been designated the Jets' franchise player, but he is looking into a trade. He was in Washington earlier this week, but the Redskins instead signed Andre Carter of the 49ers. Abraham had 10 1/2 sacks last season, the fourth time in his six seasons with the Jets he had 9 1/2 or more sacks. He was the Jets' franchise player last season and waited until the end of training camp to sign the one-year tender. He hoped to receive a long-term contract offer after playing all 16 games last season. His agent said last week Abraham was scheduled to visit four teams http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/football/263003_hawk15.html
