Looks like the CS finally got their collective asses together and had the team - esp the D - ready to play. Kudos to the CS and players. This may be the start of something special. Happy for us fans but just as happy for CS, Players, FO and owners. Great win!
Even though they tried their very best to lose or tie yes it was a great win. Winning makes all the mistakes fade into the background. Hopefully this gets the Jets going a bit.
What do you expect from such a young team and young coaching staff? Yes the Titans were missing their biggest two receivers, but this is a very good team the Jets just beat. A team as young as we are, it is no shocker it was a nail biter. Build on it. Start stacking the wins now.
I forgot how much fun it is rooting for a Jets win when they actually play well! Zach played great and didn't put the defense in bad positions. To me that was the big difference. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
Had a 90+ rating wiht almost 300 yards. Minus Davis slipping on his route, a pretty much perfect day.
Our next few games, up until the Bills game, are all winnable imo. We definitely have to clean up some stuff to have a shot though, namely penalties. Wilson also has to be generally mistake free or at least make up for mistakes with chunk plays like he did today.
Who does young Zach remind you of for old or recent NFL ? perhaps the other Wilson Russel or A Rodgers?? Maybe he is a morph of the two but kid is the Wild West gunslinger QB no doubt
He's a more mobile Favre so far. Throws everything hard and takes tons of shots downfield. Wilson and Rodgers were always very careful with the ball. Wilson could become more like them as he matures but he's not there right now.
Wilson also featured some great composure, grabbing a badly snapped ball from the turf and zipping a throw to Crowder. Not too shabby for a rookie in his 4th game.
If anything it changed the mood on this board. Some of you were ready to give up on the Jets altogether. Fire the GM, fire the coach, Zach is a bust…..etc. Look they looked terrible these past couple of weeks. Nobody can deny that. But with young teams sometimes it’s takes a while for things to click. While Zach was able to hit Davis on a few big plays you can see their timing still needs work. The OL is beginning to gel….the secondary has been outstanding considering the youth. Things are still gonna be up and down for the rest of this season - there will still be stinkers. Zach is gonna throw picks, WRs will drop passes, coverages will be blown….but I really think today was a preview of what JD and Saleh are trying to build here.
Great game and feeling to have right now, but they need to go win next Sunday in London or it'll be a long 2 weeks before we get another shot at New England again.
Not every ball comes out hard. That rainbow he threw to Cole on the left sideline was an absolute dime. You can't have better touch than he had on that ball.
Huge win. I admit I am shocked they came back and hung on. ZW def made huge progress and adjustments. And more importantly glad to see Lefluer running couple of roll outs and no huddle . I hope they do that again. As Falco stated this is a young team and they nearly blew it making few mistakes down the wire. Next two are winnable games and get back in the right direction!!!!
BUT, and this is a big BUT, you can see what happens when he has time and the receivers catch balls they should. Crowder and Cole took enough pressure off of Davis to make it work and work well.
