Broncos | Team not willing to pay what Abraham is asking Wed, 15 Mar 2006 08:24:05 -0800 <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/137">Jeff Legwold, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports the Denver Broncos are not willing to pay what New York Jets franchise free agent DL John Abraham is asking. Abraham would like between $17 million and $18 million in guaranteed money, pricing himself out of the range for some of the league's biggest spenders. The Broncos are waiting for his price to drop.
Yeah, that's the way this thing is going. Never thought Abe would turn into a greedy SOB. What the hell was going on in the locker room for so many years under Herm?
This is his agents, not the Team. see my take, here -->http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=50095&postcount=26
Thanks for taking the time to point me that way. Maybe there is a chance it could work out. We will see. There sure haven't been many quotes from Abe recently; maybe that is a good thing.
theres alot of Abe rumors circling up right now...maybe something is being stirred up and he is about to dealt???
it looks like every team in the NFL is disrespecting Abe by not paying him what he thinks he is worth. With such rampant disrespect I hope he can even find a team that he will play for.
This is exactly the reason why he MUST GO...no more "if we keep ABE" threads Please. I am really starting to despise this guy, he will be one of the most hated ex jets in recent memory.
denver doesnt have the money, even if hes asking too much they dont have enough to pay him what he should be legitimately making. this is my guess with the reports of them barely having enough money to sign draft picks which is why they were enticed with abe anyways so they could get rid of signing more rooks n getting a premier pass rusher im not worried i think he'll make it to ATL or SEA
Holy shit what are we gonna do with him. Do you think he could end up stayin with us because he realizes noones gonna pay im some crazy ass deal?
