I told y’all I have his phone 😂😂😂🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ https://t.co/weyhlhRoR3— rasul (@RasulEra) March 14, 2023 Nevermind, it wasn't peyote.
Could anyone on the planet have predicted Aaron Rogers would be a Jet even several months ago? This is just bizarre. He's never been a favorite of mine but even at about 60% is better than anything we've put on the field in years. That alone has to be reason for at least cautious optimism.
I'm still not sold on this move. It depends on how much draft capital JD has to give up for him. It's Super Bowl or bust with Rodgers. This move is essentially a QB rental and the ultimate "win now" move by a front office who is surely starting to look over their shoulder a bit after the last couple of seasons. If they don't win a championship with Rodgers, JD and Saleh are gone and the franchise will be back in QB purgatory again with a new GM who is going to want to bring in "his people" and rebuild.
This thread is killing me. I can't stand Turd Rodgers and as a (likely) Jet, I hate him already. I'm sure I'm an army of one, but I hope he definitively says no so I can laugh even harder. I hope I get my wish, but as in all things Jets, hope is for fools. That aside, this is Tom Cheatesque level toolbaggery like when the Cheat walked pensively in the tunnel in that attention whoring b & w photo all will I won't I won't I, try to guess! What a fckn asshole. God, I hate that guy. What was this about again? Flake Rodgers. Right. But wait! Just so everyone knows how much I still hate it.
Yeah, that's my point. Move on. He's acting like an asshole. He can enjoy sitting on the couch this year.
So per few sources, while AR may have agreed to go to the Jets, there is no deal finalized as the GB wants more picks. If that is true, then imo trading for Lamar Jackson May turn out to be a better investment including both short and long term.
I have a source who took two tabs of acid with Arod. He kept seeing green which he thought was a sign but now that he has come back down to earth he’s not sure if it’s a sign to go to Jets or stay in GB. The wait continues.
Jets are actively working to reach an agreement with Packers’ free-agent WR Allen Lazard, per league sources. There is another team involved, and no final decision, but the Jets are trying to reunite Lazard and OC Nathaniel Hackett. pic.twitter.com/rkzX17o5do— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 14, 2023
So it begins … https://t.co/zusydx5tqY— Connor Hughes (@Connor_J_Hughes) March 14, 2023 Another sign that points to Rodgers joining the Jets. If this happens, it could have an impact on Corey Davis, who has an $11M cap charge. https://t.co/VGTr2BI1SI— Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) March 14, 2023 It’s around this time of year that I always remember that our beat writers don’t have any half-decent source of information and simply make a living by retweeting Schefter.
Allen Lazard scored 8 TDs in 2021 when Hackett was the Packers OC, so there’s obvious familiarity. In that sense, it would be a seamless transition for Lazard. But it would be smoother with Rodgers throwing him the ball. #jets— Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) March 14, 2023
