Aaron Fairooz wr out of central arkansas...6'6 207lbs Combine: 4.49 in the 40-yard dash ? 1.57 10-yard dash ? 2.57 20-yard dash ? 4.27 20-yard shuttle ? 6.89 three-cone drill ? 36-inch vertical jump ? 10-foot-5 broad jump. I just think one thing we could really use is a big reciever in the redzone, with his size and speed he could prob make the team and could be useful to the jets in the endzone IMO.
I hope all the UDFAs do well. Why is it that the Jets seem to be attracted to payers with phallic references?
hes not signed by us, i dont know if hes been signed, i was just saying i think he should be someone we should consider...we need some size in the redzone.
A large part of our redzone strategy this year will be using our newly acquired Thomas Jones. That said, isn't Brad smith pretty tall? Not 6'6", but...... Well, if we sign the guy he has a chance.
yea, idk...im just a fan of haveing the option of a jump ball, this guy gives us the option of just lobbing one in there for a TD if need be...But i am also looking foward to watching Thomas Jones make many trips to the endzone, i acually got my thomas jones jersey in the mail today!
Can we please sign him? Those numbers and size combined with the fact that he was actually invited to the combine is more than enough to sign the guy. I don't care if he had 3 career catches. Good find- I'd love to bring in him and or Trannon to compete for a 5th spot as a big reciever.
Damn, the more I look at it, the more impressed I am. Look at the agility drills --under a 7.0 in the 3 cone for an undrafted WR at 6'6" is unreal. Is he on trial for Murder or something? Why else would he still be available.
it's said one of his biggest weaknesses is that his route running and speed can be a little inconsistent, but when it comes to a jump ball he usually is victorious in the battle for the ball.
theres a rumor going around that we signed this guy! could be a big steal of the udfa's...im hopeing this rumor is true.
Is a WR has questionable route running and speed, what positive attributes are left that can highlight him as a WR? Does he lace up his cleats on the correct feet?
asmith is like 6 ft 2 with great vert and good body control. pretty much plays like a 6 ft 3 or 4 players in the air.
this is our chance to have a solid jump ball man in the endzone, who cares if thats the only time hes on the field?
at least route-running is coachable. if he learns it quickly, great. if not, cut him. but with that size:speed, he's definitely worth trying out. did we actually sign him or are we still speculating and hoping? cheer
i have had two members of this forum tell me that they heard we signed him, i dont know how reliable that is...but im hopeing so.
