I sort of feel as though we basically replaced Chad with Sanchez. Favre was just a pit stop. If Sanchez turns out to be what he is supposed to be, we made out damn good if you ask me. No pics were given from next years draft. A second rounder and Elam as far as I am concerned were the main components. The other additions were not really all that heavy. Personally? I think we stole the best QB in the draft today. ~C
That's a very reasonable take on events. I'm still having trouble with the Lions taking Stafford and giving him that contract. His completion percentage in college does not translate very well to the NFL as a topflight passer. Stafford is going to have to get much better to be a topflight NFL QB. Sanchez just needs to prove that he can deal with the accelerated pace of the pro game without losing too much in the process. I'd have taken Sanchez over Stafford if i was the Lions.
