Remember when Kris Jenkins jumped offsides when Buffalo was in Jets territory? Cost the Jets 5 yards. I think the play after that was just straight up AMAZING. Jenkins SMASHED the Bills running back for no gain or a loss of one. The guy is amazing. I remember my change in emotions. "Damn Jenkins, can't make penalties like that on the road" to "JENKINS IS AN ANIMAL! WHAT A HIT!" The guy is fantastic. I could not find the picture of that play, but it was AWESOME.
I thought Jenkins did not need to be rewarded for one great play... I thought it was self-evident that this guy is a beast regardless of the play.
Did you SEE that play? Haha he is unstoppable. I knew he was great and the reason why the Jets run D has improved, but that play opened my eyes to how great he really is. He can do whatever he wants.
Edwards looks dead in that first pic......that is now by desktop background! I haven't forgotten any play this guy made yesterday. He is easily my favorite Jet.
I did, I actually thought his sack was more impressive where he drove threw 2 O-Line and basically passed over Lynch... I was laughing my a*s off.
I didn't forget. As I described in another thread...Jackson looked like a ran into a wall. Only difference is, this wall lifted him off his feet and drove him into the ground. Great play. Pure awesomeness.
man, he bitched the center (or guard) so bad on one play. it was like a senior in HS playing with elementary school kids
Jenkins is awesome. I like the play Rhodes made in the end zone, knocking that ball away at the very last second. Perfectly timed.
call me crazy but another play i really liked was the fullback run on 4th and 1 or 3rd and 1 i forget which one it was.. i dont know why that stuck out to me but i was impressed with the call cause it caught the bills off guard and kept the drive alive
tballlz63 on that FB dive: "Looks like Mangini's been playing some Madden, because that's obviously where he got that play from" He was right. That play on Madden usually gets me 5-9 yards. It was a good call indeed.
It was 3rd and 1, Tony Richardson's first carry as a Jet. I liked it because we got the 1st down and kept that killer drive going. Simple yet effective, much better than the bomb on 3rd and 1.
I actually called it. Said run the FB dive to Richardson! Boom, first down! I thought Schotty called a real good game yesterday.
That top pic was taken moments after Jenkins spun Edwards around and used Edwards' weight to smash him into the turf. Edwards landed with all his weight on his shoulder. I thought he had a ggod chance of a separation there. But the funniest part was, Jenkins got up and walked away like he had just flicked a bug off his uniform. TOO FUNNY!
Jenkins was the best offseason pick-up we got this year. Faneca second and then Calvin Pace third IMO. With Jenkins showing that having a great nose tackle helps the defense, I think we should draft the best nose tackle in the draft. Because with out Jenkins in the line-up we look lost like in that San Diego game.
Reminded me of DRob allowing a first down after jumping offsides, and then stuffing LT in the backfield in 2004.
