POSITIVES: High-percentage thrower who is best in the short passing game. Sells ball fakes, patient in the pocket and displays an excellent sense of timing. Consistently looks downfield, knows where his receivers are on the field and hits targets as they leave breaks. Finds the safety, displays excellent pocket awareness and very accurate in the short field. Does not wilt under pressure or make poor decisions. Throws with a fluid, over-the-top delivery.

NEGATIVES: Cannot drive passes down the field nor zip intermediate throws. Stares down primary targets. Cannot elude the rush.

ANALYSIS: Benefiting from a system implemented by coordinator Gary Crowton last season, Clemens took his game to another level before the injury.

    PROJECTION: Early Sixth Round

Average arm strength and no zip on his passes.

We could have waited and drafted a much better QB.

The guy sounds like a shorter Brady coming out of College.

ESPN just said he has a great arm. I don't know if anyone else caught that. The film looks like his arm is better than Pennies.

They just showed a whole bunch of video of him on ESPN, looked like he had plenty of arm strength and zip on his passes.

The video i just saw on espn definantly wasnt from a weak armed quarterback. He made a beatiful straightline pass that was easily 30 yards

Every thing I have heard about this guy says he has a strong arm....I don't know know where the heck you found that info Jets fan. And yea, I saw the thing on ESPN (the studio is right downstairs from me actually :)) and everyone seemed to drool over this pick. I know people will disagree with me, but I am LOVING this draft.

Your so silly.... The Vikings really, really wanted this kid. He would've not made it past them. He also has a very strong arm. Not the strongest, but he can get it there. Watch some of his games, it is very obvious he can deliver. He was also a projected 1st rounder until his ankle injury. It was a good pick. Very good pick.

I watched his first 4 games this season, he by NO means has a weak arm! He throws with lots of zip, and he also has excellent touch.

He has a better arm now than Pennington ever did. He is a very tough QB and I really like that. The Jets are making good picks today.
