We have the least amount of travel of any team. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...hardest-by-travel-miles-jets-have-it-easiest/
A positive post? Well, the season hasn't begun? The Jets can't be exposed for the pathetic, shitty team they are yet.
good point. Bates really, really, sucked. Lots of coordinators get shit for their play calling but I've never seen an NFL OC with such horrendous play designs. When most teams are spreading out defenses and running quick hitters, Bates was tightening up the box and having his players spend way too much time in the backfield on a given play. he made it easy for defenses I'm interested to see how Gase changes this offense
Yep, even the first play of the year was a bad play design and call by Bates, setting up Sam for a Pick-6 on his first play. Bates did not get much better with designs or play calls after that play either! Gase will certainly be an upgrade, but we have to wait and see how big of an upgrade he will be! I'm hoping for a night and say difference.
Most successful Hard Knocks team ever. Only three playoff games have been won by Hard Knocks teams. 2010 Jets had two of those wins.
The Jets were finally smart enough to hire a GM after the draft, so that way it will take 2yrs for the fanbase to want him fired for his shitty draft picks.
Looks like the Jets will showcase their 3 new uniforms to start the season out at home: Week 1 vs. Buffalo: GREEN OUT. Week 2 vs. Cleveland: BLACK OUT (MNF) Week 6 vs. Dallas WHITE OUT. I like it. Pretty cool idea.
I'd figure a lot of years we have ended up with favorable travel schedules. Especially seasons we play the NFC East. Giants, Skins, Eagles (and especially if the Cowboys come to Metlife) also we go to New England which isn't a long trip. Also when we go to Baltimore or Cleveland or Pitt. Not particularly taxing travel wise.
Look how incredibly easy our travel schedule is until 10/21! The entire pre-season we leave the area once. To go to Atlanta Our first 6 games our longest trip flight wise is Foxboro it seems. I mean this is a big big advantage
Yeah, definitely should give the Jets an advantage. If they can beat the Bill and Browns at home to start (2-0), I think it can set the tone for the season.
Feels like there’s been more focus on front office hirings this time around then in past regime changes, though I might not have been on the board as much. It does feel like Douglas is bringing a group of professionals together though, which bodes well for the teams future.
I also really like that we go up to New England in September while it’s still warm and while they’re still finding their identity, unlike in these past 3 years where we went up in December when it was freezing and they were fine tuning for the playoffs. Hopefully the better timing results in us not getting our doors blown off again.
