Unfortunately I need to spoil the surprise going in cause I will end up banned but read the article below. I'm looking for a reaction intentionally.

Now I would like you to read the real article so all of our reactionary fans can learn from history instead of repeating it.

While Sanchez is sucking balls this season, making a change for the sake of change is ludicrous. As many people are saying, there are a lot more problems on the team than Sanchez.

This was amazingly on point, with the current situation. Props

Sanchez given the circumstances played decently against the Texans.

    Nice post.

There's a difference in the situations though. Chad was the starter in name only under Mangini. We forget that Clemens was drafted in the 2nd round in 2006. The expectation when you take a QB as high as the 2nd round is that he is going to replace the guy you currently have at QB - particularly when he is drafted by a new GM, with a new HC and a new OC.

Chad was on borrowed time the minute that Eric Mangini and Brian Schottenheimer came to town. He was the old regime's QB and he was going to give way to the new regime's guy sooner or later, with his injury history likely sooner. The playoff run in 2006 gave Chad a little breathing space but he had his worst season and he was on borrowed time.

Mark Sanchez on the other hand is the guy the regime currently in power invested in. Tim Tebow may have been brought in to replace him, time will tell on that, but he's not the new vibe the way Clemens was. Sanchez is not the early 30's guy going out the door under a new regime.

You're absolutely right in just replacing Chad's name with Sanchez and Clemens with Tebow in the article. It could very easily go down like that but the Jets wouldn't be doing the same thing they did with Chad and Clemens. They'd have to have drafted a QB early to be doing that.

This would be a terrible time to make that move. We all saw the guantlant of defenses the Jets would face in the first 5 weeks of the season on the schedule before the season and feared they would do something stupid like this. You have to give Sanchez an opportunity to face some lesser defenses, and maybe play with some starting quality NFL receivers. As of right now they Jets just faced 3 of the top 5 NFL defenses in a span of 4 weeks with a skeleton crew at WR/TE.

The best time to make that move was week 1
