I saw a mock draft that I totally agreed on and it even had us picking a DE at #4. Now most of you that have read my posts know I don't want a DL or OL at #4 but if this panned out I would be happy.

#4 Mario Williams 6-7 295 DE North Carolina St.

    #29 DeAngleo Williams 5-9 214 RB Memphis

    #35 Marcus McNeil 6-8 336 T Auburn

    #68 Charles Spencer 6-5 338 G Pittsburgh

3rd Rd (Comp for Jordan) Greg Eslinger 6-3 285 C Minnesota

4th Rd Brodie Croyle 6-2 200 QB Alabama
or Charlie Whitehurst 6-4 216 QB Clemson
(Yes I feel with all the QB signings that one will be there for the 4th pick of the 4th round, which should be around pick #100.)

A replacement for Abe, a new OL, plus the RB & QB of the future.

That would be a phenomenal draft. A little optomistic with some of the picks, but if it somehow happened, it would be tremendous.

Nice, that would be a fantasy draft.......but I like:

#4 - Mario Williams or AJ Hawk
#29 - Marooney, Williams or Mangold
    #35 - OL, QB

#4 Mario Williams, AJ Hawk, Haloti Ngati
#29 Maroney, Mangold or Bobby Carpenter (assuming no Hawk at 4)
#35 OL, or Joseph Addai (assuming no Maroney at 29)

I like this scenario alot better.
Late in the 1st we can still land a premier O Lineman...

I like Williams at 4 and Mangold at 29, especially if we do not get ferguson.

Whoever said the Brick wouldn't fall to 4th? I still see us taking him. Adrian Jones is not the future at LT

If DeAngelo Williams, Marcus McNeil, Charles Spencer and Brodie Croyle fall to those spots I'll eat my shoe.

The thing is, we can still get excellent quality offensive lineman at the end of the 1st/start of the 2nd. I think the dropoff from Mario Williams to someone else at the end of the 1st is a lot greater.

Cutler, Mangold, Davin Joseph, Andrew Whitworth and Will Derting (compensatory pick).

Badda bing, we have a young, athletic line that will grow together and yet another undersized, but extremely instinctive linebacker.

I think this could be my dream scenario.

Trade down with DET for #9 and #40 overall.

    9 - Broderick Bunkley, DT/DE, FSU
29 - Leonard Pope, TE, Georgia
35 - Bobby Carpenter, OLB, OSU
40 - Charles Spencer, OG, Pittsburgh
68 - Brodie Croyle, QB, Alabama
3 comp - Joe Toledo, OT, Washington

Then go after a CB, LBs and more OL and DL depth in the 2nd day.

    Who's mornery, Walter?

  20. W/ 5 potential picks on day 1 and many needs, we can afford to go BPA w/ every single pick on day 1..and that is NEVER a bad thing.
Pick 1- Mario Williams or Ferguson
Pick 2- Jon Scott, Nick Mangold, or Bobby Carpenter
pick 3- Andrew Whitworth, Gabe Watson,Brodie Croyle or Q'well Jackson
pick 4- Charles Spencer, or Mike Degory
pick 5- Davin Joseph or Daryn Colledge
