Hug your family and loved ones tonight and say a prayer or light a candle tomorrow for all the people who sadly lost their lives 18 years ago.
“ I hear you, the nation hears you and soon, the people who did this are going to hear all of us” Not sure why that always stuck in my head . In all the tragedy involved, and by no means am I dismissing any of it, the resolve shown by this nation is what I remember more.
I was on the playground when cops showed up to the front entrance. Police officers never came to school at lunchtime, so it had to be something unusual, but I didn't know what. A friend who overheard them told me that there's been a terrorist attack on the WTC. I couldn't believe it until I got home and watched the news. A guy who lived 3 houses away from me worked in the north tower and never came back. RIP to those who lost their lives that day.
A tragic day... may all those that perished rest in peace, and condolences to all those that still grieve on this day.
When the world officially began to suck.Football included. Thoughts with those whose lives were lost & the loved ones they left behind.
