I remember watching the game Brett started after taking over for Makowski.

Brett counts on releasing the ball ASAP after the snap... his release has been the key to his longevity.

I'm not sure even with Faneca Brett will have enough time. He'll be munching field turf, and that can't be good for a 38-y.o. body.

I hate that reality has set in and the novelty has worn off... a quick fix at best.

    8-8. At best.

how bad do you think the O-line is that Favre can't take a 3 step drop and have time to get the ball out immediately? do you think guys are going to go right through the offensive line? the fact that Favre likes to get rid of the ball immediately actually bodes well for his success if the offensive line can't hold it's protection because the ball will already be out of his hands, not the other way around. trying to say otherwise just defies logic.

if you have a line that can't hold it's blocks, you need a QB who can get rid of the ball in a hurry. that's pretty elementary stuff.

What, I can't complain like everyone else around here? Please... the sliding scale of what's right and wrong around here leaves much to be desired.

All I've heard for 5 years on this board (and yes, I lurked before I joined) was constant "reality" of hardcore, longterm fans who blow smoke up people's asses about how bad the organization, coaching staff, players, and fans are.

My turn. So when November rolls around and this ecstatic circle jerk dries up, reality will set in.

I'm no different than the other Jets fans on this board.

11-5 should do it, although I think it'll take two years to get the Trophy.

Did we trade for Steve Smith yet?

This makes no sense at all. If you're going to complain at least come up with something that makes sense. You're trying to tell us that his quick release is a bad thing because of the offensive line. Great logic man.

I suppose pennington or clemens would have been a better option?

you can say what you feel, that's your right, but it's like saying, "I just won the lottery, damn, now everyone's gonna want to borrow money".

WE ARE NO LONGER 2ND CLASS CITIZENS, IN NY, OR THE NFL. THAT, IF NOTHING ELSE, GIVES ME A GREAT FEELING.
