Welcome to June, ladies! :breakdance: The Yanks had a pretty brutal first two months of the season, playing some of the top teams in the league and spending more time on the road than anyone else in the division (I think... last I checked, anyway). While the Yanks will still spend more time on the road than at home (18 home games compared to 19 road games before the break), the next two months find the Yanks spending much of their time feasting on the dregs of baseball. We'll be seeing quite a bit of the Mariners, Royals, Indians, Orioles, and D-Backs, and only a smattering of games against actual contenders. Tuesday Javier Vazquez, RHP (3-5, 6.86) vs. Brian Matusz, LHP (2-5, 5.76) Wednesday Phil Hughes, RHP (6-1, 2.70) vs. Brad Bergesen, RHP (3-3, 5.96) Thursday CC Sabathia, LHP (4-3, 4.16) vs. Kevin Millwood, RHP (0-5, 3.89)
Ugh, another Vagquez game. I'm ready for another stinker. Maybe I'll play a video game and "enjoy" the verbal diarrhea from Sterling and Waldman rather than rape my eyeballs.
sometimes i prefer that than having to listen to kay. not that its better in any respect, but if i dont switch it up every once in a while, i want to put an axe through the tv.
The series this weekend was the great with Paul O'Neill. God damn I wish he would do more games, I find him very hilarious...especially b/c he makes fun of Kay.
Honestly, I prefer Sterling to Kay. At least Sterling knows he's an idiot. Kay just thinks he knows everything, but is athletically stupid. Paulie is awesome. They should have Singleton lead with O'Neill and Leiter as the on-air team. The whole Kay's cap size bit was hilarious.
Looks like a real lineup will be there tonight: Jeter SS Swisher RF Teixeira 1B ARod 3B Cano 2B Thames DH Cervelli C Granderson CF Russo LF Personally, given that queasy Vag is on the mound tonight, I'd put in Gardner in left, just to give him every chance to have a 25 run lead to blow. I like Russo though, so it's nice to see him play again today. It looks like the Yankees are serious about giving him a chance to play. Pena really blew his shot. As much as I was in favor of bringing Miranda up to DH, I'm actually glad to see Thames get the start tonight. While I can't stomach Thames in the field, he can hit the ball. Anyway, that's the deepest lineup we've had in weeks. It's nice that guys are starting to get healthy again. I wonder if they'll get this game in. Scattered t-storms making their way in.
Alio, It's starting to look nasty here (Florham Park, NJ) but I was just outside looking @ the clouds and they are moving fast. If they do get delayed I don't think it will be for long.
Jvy has been good 2 outts 3...he even settled down a little in Minnesota...theres really no reason to expect him to get bombed when he goes out there every 5 days
Thats right, Im a big Javy guy. The whole "its mental thing" was and is RETARDED. Hes a very good pitcher...and as a number 5, we should be doing cartwheels to have him!!!!!!!!
if Granderson can keep up what he's done since coming off the DL, he's going to have a scary-good season
