:smile: I love Hughes Day. And I hate the Indians. It goes all the way back to when I was a kid and my Italian father (Yankee fan) and my Polish ex-uncle (Indians fan) used to give each other a hard time. Hopefully the Yanks can get their heads out of their asses offensively. Interesting side note, when Nick Johnson got injured, the Yanks were 20-8. They were averaging 5.7 runs/game. Since Nick Johnson has been injured, the Yanks are 8-11 and averaging a full run less per game.
Yup. Granderson a week before, Posada a week after. Yanks' record in games without Granderson but with Johnson: 4-0. Yanks' record in games with Posada but without Johnson: 1-5. I'm just messing around, really. I don't think Johnson is the sole reason why the Yanks have struggled at the plate. But I do think there is something to the idea that - even when he was slumping - he was providing value to the lineup, just from the sheer number of pitches he was seeing, and that he lengthened the lineup significantly. And it is kind of striking how much the change in performance really centers around his injury and not so much the other two.

Holy shit. A-Rod almost killed the Indians pitcher. Shit, I wouldn't be surprised if he wound up dying... that was a direct hit.
It's obvious that AFraud should be banned from baseball for life and charged with attempted murder. Does watching this game make me a Yankee fan? Is that how these things work?
