Curt Schilling 5-1 3.02 ERA VS. Mike Mussina 5-1 2.35 ERA 7:05 on ESPN. Both pitchers came into the year big question marks due to their sub-par 2005 season and age...Both have been pitching great and now square off against eachother. Moose has shut down good lineups this year such as Toronto(2x), Anaheim and Oakland. And in his loss outing this year, it was pretty good, 6 2/3 innings 3 ER against Minnesota. I've never been a big fan of Mussina. But a win tonight against Schilling will suade me to be more confident in him rather than me wait for his meltdown outing that is due...Lets tie the series up:beer:
How did the Mets do last night? That once "insurmountable" lead has dwindled down to 3. Why does Pedro struggle against the Phils? and what's up w/ Mets announcers wearing rally caps in the booth?
only 1 game in the L column ahead of the Yanks and the Mets have played "great" while the Yanks have been up and down.
Already 2-0 Sox as that fat bastard Grape Ape does it again. Hopefully we see a reverse of last night when the yanks led 2-0 then got killed.
This series has been crap for me. Varitek on 2 or 3 teams, Randy on one, and Mussina on one. Can anyone do good?!
You know, that first inning by Mussina was brilliant. He threw almost every pitch on the spot. He was up in the count 0-2 a couple of times. Ortiz is just that good.
