When Tanny pulled the trigger on the rhodes trade, i guess he saw some really good value in that 4th round. Assuming that we stay put and don't use the pick to trade up, which players would you like the jets to target in the 4th?

    My Top 5:

    OL Zane Beadles
    DE CJ Wilson
    OLB George Selvie
    CB Syd'Quan Thompson
    WR Blair White

Still, it would probably please him if they found another back capable of picking up the blitz.

I really like Thompson and White in the mid-rounds.

Thompson will be a hell of a special teamer, but he'll never be anything more than a nickel or dime corner. Lucky us, we need help on special teams and at nickel and dime corner.

White is a very underrated option for a slot receiver. I'd rather go after Freddie Barnes though. In my opinion, both could be available after the fourth round.

I don't like George Selvie in the 3-4. A lot like Hughes, I see him more as a situational pass rusher in the 4-3.

Beadles is a very athletic lineman, but I'm not sure if he fits into our style of play. He's not the strongest run blocker. He'd be an interesting developmental prospect at guard though, because he's definitely athletic enough to be a nasty pull guard.

Wilson would provide solid depth on the line, but I think we'd be able to find a better 3-4 lineman in the 4th.

With all of that said, I may as well give you my top five:

    1. Kyle Calloway, OT, Iowa
    2. Myron Rolle, S, Florida State
    3. Koa Misi, OLB, Utah
    4. Quan Thompson, CB, Cal
    5. Chris Scott, OL, Tennessee

I agree with MrE, I want Myron on this team. The guy plays great, and obviously has one hell of a brain. He could learn this defense no problem, and should be more then capable. I think he's going to turn out to be one hell of a player in this league.

Here's a list of some potential 4th Round picks for the Jets that I really think would be a fit:

    Defense

    Jerome Murphy, CB, USF
    Kurt Coleman, S, OSU
    Robert Johnson, S, Utah
AJ Jefferson, CB, Fresno St.......stock is rising.
Myron Lewis, S, Vandy...can play CB too!
Arthur Jones, DE, Syracuse...good fit for Jets..injuries brought his stock down.
Torrell Troup, NT, Central Florida..stock rising..small school may keep in Rd 4
    Linval Joesph, NT, E. Carolina....^..Ditto
    Antonio Coleman, OLB, Auburn
    Jason Worilds, OLB, V.T.

NOOOOOOOOOO! AJ Jefferson lost his job to a walk-on corner named Desia Dunn. Desia Dunn is arguably the worst starting corner Fresno State's ever had. AJ's a hell of a kick returner, but I don't want him anywhere near our secondary.

I'd be okay with everyone else.

I think Linval Joseph's combine workout will get him into the third round.

Would Barnes be a reach in the 4th if we think we wont be able to pick him up in the 5th? I love the idea of Barnes in the slot BUT i do get a bit worried about his separation against good CB's. Boise State game against Wilson ( 4 rec 24yrds) not the greatest game IMO with the numbers he put up last year. But i would love to pick him up. So would he be a good pick in the 4th?

Koa Misi won't get out of Round 3 and may sneak into the bottom of Round 2.

No, he wouldn't be a reach in the fourth. The only reason he'll last that long is because he wasn't invited to the combine. His pro day is some time this week, so hopefully he runs a decent time.

Freddie Barnes will be a slot receiver, so he won't have to face top notch corners. I think the gimmicky offense that he played in at Bowling Green will actually help him if he lines up in the slot. The guy knows how to break off routes and get open. Barnes will be a great weapon for his quarterback.

In that list Sy'quan Thompson is clearly the best player. Selvie intrigues me and would be another guy i would like in the 4th but someone who isnt on that list Greg Gardy out of Ole Miss would be my favorite pick out of guys who i expect to be their in the 4th

Oddly he's projected at 5-6th rounds ( Probably because some may not know of him that well) but with us having picks at the last in 5th and 29th in 6th he would be a great pick up at 25th in the 4th. Almost like a number 1 in the 5th. Im surprised many dont know of his numbers: Rec-155, Yrds-1770, and TD's -19. Insane Numbers

Jones would be great, do you really think he could last until the end of the 4th? I think some of the 3-4 teams could give him a look as early as the early 3rd.

Possible......Injuries and not working out has dropped Jones' stock.

Four or five months ago, Jones was considered a borderline rd 1 pick.

Rolle or Freddie Barnes. Barnes is gonna be a steal wherever he goes.

Some team has fallen in love with Freddie Barnes and he's going to go higher than most think...I say Round 3.

I've seen him projected all over the place so I have no idea if he will be there in the 4th but Alex Carrington seems like he would be a good fit.

    You notice my avatar??

I've been a big Fan....if he's available in rd 4 for the Jets...a no brainer.

I think Carrington, who had a great Senior Bowl, will be drafted in very late rd 2 to Mid 3...in the area Jarron Gilbert went last year to the Bears.

Right now, I see Misi's draft stock as the complete opposite. I think he'll fall into the third round, and might slip into the beginning of the fourth.

The guy just doesn't have a true position and he's not a very good pass rusher. Misi's high motor and all out style is what he'll bring to a team.

He had a hell of week at the Senior Bowl and an excellent combine, but some teams may overlook that.

Tanny said that he didn't like the idea of missing out on 2 straight rounds. I take that to mean that if a hot prospect fell into the 3rd round he would need that 4th rounder to move up. That's more likely than liking some players in the 4th round, seeing as we have the 26th pick in the 4th (practically a 5th).

WW85 I really was also thinking about Myron Lewis as a saftey. Good size and speed. If you want slot man coverage and a kick returner then Javier Arenas might fit here.

If both of them are gone by the time we pick in round 4, I want OL depth (if not addressed earlier).
