Last year's 4th overall pick was Cedric Benson by the Chicago Bears.

Now i'm pretty sure that the next year, that #4 overall pick money wise will go up 10%?

For example...Alex Smith #1 pick last year...Reggie Bush will get 10% more than what he got, and so on and so on...

Now, does being the 1st taken at your position factor in?

Say the Jets go D'Brick or Mario, each will be the 1st selected for their respective positions. Do they get more money for that?

And I want to say Cedric Benson's signong bonus last year was anywhere from $13-14 million, since Carnell got like $12.5 mil?

So, if it's D'Brick,Mario,Leinart whoever...The signing bonus should be around $15 million?

    Thanks.

Somewhere around $13-$16 million I would imagine. That's why it's such a risky pick. If you take a player who doesn't pan out you still have to pay him for a couple of years. That's why the option of trading down is something that the Jets have to entertain. No matter what player you draft, it's going to be risky.
