My mate is a niners fan and just sent me this (not sure where its from) - "NFL Network's Michael Lombardi reportedly turned down an offer to work under Baalke in a lower position. CEO Jed York put a rush on the decision because Baalke will be needed to interview head coaching candidates, specifically Jim Harbaugh and Hue Jackson, on Wednesday. Per the San Jose Mercury News, Harbaugh remains the heavy favorite and he has "signed off" on Baalke as general manager. Barring a last-minute surprise, Harbaugh is expected to be named head coach on Wednesday or Thursday."
