Their mighty WR core of Arnaz Battle and Johnnie Morton definitely would scare the hell out of every secondary in the NFL. That is because these guys are #3s and #4s as the top 2 on the team.

A WR is needed right here or through FA... Derek Hagan is a great WR with very reliable hands. He's your typical possession receiver and runs routes well so his catching ability should give Alex Smith an excellent option on 3rd downs. Hagan and Smith will both take the load off of eachother's backs in getting to play at the NFL level.

    WR Derek Hagan, Arizona State.

Don't forget about Antonio Bryant. Great #2, decent #1 WR.

I think they need a NT bad and the WRs suck in this draft.

I went Gabe Watson, second choice: Maurice Stovall.

I went with Jennings because they have a pretty big need at CB.

Wait... Derek Hagan has reliable hands? I believe he has a reputation for not having reliable hands actually...

Watson, assuming they think he can play 34 NT. Alternatively, they could go with Sims or Jennings.

Doesn't make sense to draft a WR here.

They need a WR BAD. I went with Stovall, mainly cause I went to the Stanford/Arizona St and Cal/A.ST games and was, suffice to say, not impressed

They drafted Rashaun Woods in the 1st round. He needs to get a chance as well.

NT and CB are bigger needs at the moment.

Rashaun Woods is generally accepted to already be a bust, but I don't think any of the above WRs are necessarily any better.

In this draft I think there are two Nose Tackles 3-4 teams should covet and they are Ngata and Watson. There are certainly more players who can play, but these two have vastly superior size and strength. A thing that you can't teach and is so highly coveted in the 3-4 scheme.

Probly in contrast to my last post, but... Woods didn't get as many touches as he should have with the gimp ass 49er offense.

DeAngelo Williams will almost certainly spread the 49er offense alot. With the healthy return of Alex Smith and a much improved(but still not great) O-Line, the 49ers will have a much better offense. Thus, they'll need some more WR weapons, and while not great, the available WR's are certainly a step above most everything they have currently.

Battle, Woods, and Bryant is not a bad trio.

    Hagans is a #1 WR? I don't see it.

Like I said, I think DT, LB, and CB are all bigger needs than WR, especially considering what's left on the board.

*Correction: DeAngelo Williams will not spread the defense. He will suck them all into the box in an attempt to stop him thus leaving the outside and over the top open. In essence he will not spread the defense, he will shrink the defense.
