keeepppp rolling along thats all. With all seriousness, do you guys feel like we are going into a week expected to win no matter who we play? Yesterday, prior to the game i had a confidence that we would beat new england in their house. A feeling, i've never had before playing against the patsies. Tennessee might be 10-0 next week, but from what i've seen from them and the way were playing right now, is it crazy to state i feel confident about going in there as the favorites, no matter what vegas says? IMO, the only thing stopping the jets from here on out is the jets, and the giants. The giants are head and shoulders above the nfl the way they run the ball and play on the road. It feels good to be a jets fan right now
Well I definately don't think it's crazy to think that the Jets can beat the Titans. As we all know, they are a team that relies heavily on the running game and I just don't see any team in the NFL running on us with Kris Jenkins playing the way he is playing. Now, people will bring up the fact that the Bears completely shut down the Titans' running game in Chicago and Kerry Collins stepped up and made a lot of plays as they won that game rather easily - that is certianly true, however, when the two teams play each other next sunday, the Jets will have Brett Favre starting at quarterback, not Rex grossman. Big difference. But we'll see. I don't think there is any question that Tennessee deserves to be favored at home. I happen to think that the Titans are a good matchup for the Jets but the Jets have to go out there and prove it. (By the way, I think the Titans could easily lose this week in Jacksonville - Although it bothers me that so many peole are picking the Jaguars)
Hard to believe the one loss in the last 7 games was to the freaking Raiders. But, the Jets have an excellent chance of beating Tennessee. Our D is capable of shutting down their running game and I will take my chances on letting Kerry Collins win the game.
Yes, we have an excellent chance of beating Tennessee, if we win, we're gonna be even bigger contenders for the Super Bowl. GO JETS GO!
If the Jets go into Tenn, they are 10-0 and win, they HAVE to be considered an AFC superbowl contender.
Hey guys. Don't want to hijack your thread. Can't post one of my own yet. I'm a Broncos fan and just wanted to say congrats on Thursdays game. I was pullin for ya. You guys looked scary good.hmy: Lookin forward to playing you guys in a couple weeks. Hope for an injury free game for both sides. I'm not one to trash talk, and disappear after a loss. My screen name is the same on the Broncos message boards, if I do. Anyway, I like your odds of beating Tennesee, especially if Favre makes decisions like he did Thursday night. I only saw him miss one open guy. On third and about 5, he threw to the flats (incomplete), and a TE (name?) was standing alone in the middle, right at the markers. Jones looks solid as well. Good pickup in Ty "Manning killer" Law. Not only for his play, but for what he can teach Revis and (Lowery?) Good luck this year (minus any Broncos games:smile I wouldn't mind seeing Favre win another SB, if the Broncos can't.
There's no one in the league the Jets can't beat. Not that we WILL beat everyone but we CAN. There's no team in the league that you can say "we don't have a shot at winning", even Tennessee or the Giants. It's a great time to be a Jets fan. I'm starting to get the '98 feeling. Honestly, I would have signed up for 5-5 before the season. Keep on rolling baby!!
