If we do get these two picks, who would you want the Jets to take at those spots? I would say Cutler and D. Williams. With Cutler we get the QB we need, because Chad is not the answer anymore, and with Williams we get a RB for the future. Curtis can back him up and teach him like Marshall Faulk did for Stephen Jackson. Houston can be 3rd string, cut Blaylock I guess even though we wouldn't save any money. Since DeAngelo is small, Houston can be the short-yardage and/or goalline back for now, and when Curtis retires take over the backup role. With Cutler and Williams, we add two playmakers at the two most key positions. What would you do, and why? Try to keep it realistic, for example you're not going to get Cutler and D'Brick because neither will likely be there at 9. Or if you want Justice, it would be at the 9th pick, not 4th. Please choose only two.
Is this speculative because the trade rumour is about 80% fake as far as we now know.... Lets just make a "who do we take at 1 and 4" poll because it would be just as accurate at this point.
Cutler and DeAngelo. I somehow don't think this fairy tale will come to pass................. I could swop Young for Cutler and White for Willams and still be OK, but Cutler and Williams is the power pick.
Well if Clayton reported that it was offered, the Jets would have to have Bradway as GM to not accept it.
As long as Cutler is the 4 pick we can go in any direction with the 9th pick.. At 9 I would try to trade down as many times as possible unless there was a guy the FO just had to have at 9..
I pick two amongst my favorite three: Mario Williams, AJ Hawk, and Haloi Ngata... If I had to go offense, I take Vince Young.
You take DeAngelo at number 9, I'm really not sure at number 4. Since we don't need D'Brick and I don't know yet whether we are gonna sign a young franchise QB. So at this point, #4 is a mystery.
I voted unrealistically (Brick/Williams) by trading abe we need williams....and brick is the other best option
