    PASS-CATCHERS AVAILABLE FOR PEANUTS

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that a trio of Florida receivers are available to any interested takers.

Specifically Reggie Williams of the Jaguars, Michael Clayton of the Bucs, and Chris Chambers of the Dolphins are on the block.

But Schefter says that no serious talks have occurred regarding any of the three, which means that all three of them are in danger of being released on or before Saturday. Chambers, a second-round pick in 2001, has been the best of the three. Clayton and Williams were first-round picks in 2004. Williams was the No. 9 overall pick; Clayton was No. 15.

Williams and Clayton have both been busts so far. Clayton had a good rookie year, but has done nothing since. I always liked Chambers, and I think he should be worth a first day draft choice. He just never had a decent QB and offense around him. That being said, we really don't need a WR right now.

All three are a waste of time.

He's not worth a 1st day draft selection. He makes some spectacular catches that wind up on highlight shows. However, watch him game in and game out and you'll see all sorts of mistakes- drops, poor separation from DBs, etc.

Chambers is going to be a Dolphin for this season.

Chambers is not half the receiver most people make him out to be. I would say the guy is slightly above average. He's had ONE 1,000 yard season in six years. He really doesn't bring much more to the table than Marty Booker on the other side, and the Fins are a rebuilding team. They probably like what they've seen of Derek Hagan and feel they'd rather develop guys. Chambers is 29 and they probably feel like he's not at the level they need him to be at.

Ding ding we have a winner. Chambers would have a difficult time being the 3rd guy on the Jets. Put it mildly, he sucks.

i think clayton is still a top quality receiver. He had an excellent rookie year. The year after he suffered from injuries and this past year he had nobody to throw to him. I dont understand how he is fourth on the depth chart for the bucs and as a team (not the jets they already got enough receivers) i would gladly give up a late round pick for him and see what he does. I think he will be worht the risk.
