I'm just pissed that 3rd and 10 draw during their TD drive to end the half actually worked. I told my friends somewhat jokingly that I'm sure it'd be a draw...I just never thought the Jets would be dumb enough to have only 1 or 2 down lineman.
did any local people here in NY hear this one yesterday or the day before - "it really isn't herm ya know..he is coaching such an inexperienced team, alot of rookies. plus, there have been alot of injuries and the guys just cannot get healthy. the guys that are in there are fighting but they are young and don't know what its like to win" i heard that on a local radio show and i almost put my foot thru my dashboard of my car. this guy is teflon - i just do not get it - Maybe the 4-12 last year and the 1-5 this year are due to CRAP COACHING AND TERRIBLE PERSONNEL DECISIONS. unreal how the media protects certain people. jil
That is too funny - I didn't realize it until reading this thread, but that playcalling on the Chiefs' 3 and out up by 3 in the 4th quarter really was so classic Herm! Just like the three run plays he called before Doug Brien missed the FG against Pit in the playoffs. Amazing after reading the Chiefs' message board how he continues his practice of blaming everyone but himself - brilliant football mind and classy too!
did anyone see on the telecast after the chiefs player recived a personal foul for taunting,they showed herm on the sideline screaming watch the pass.he yelled to his players and coaching staff. then they showed the formation, and it was 2 wr wide right double te single back jones.i said to myself immediately this is a run play. and guess what jones up the middle for 3 yards.i had to just laugh to myself.
