Game is in MetLife so, let's see if the fanbase shows up in significant numbers or will the stadium show gaps in the seating as I doubt Browns fans will make the trip in large numbers. Not a lot to look forward to except maybe seeing if Fields and Engstrand can keep up the offensive production. Possibly the only reason to watch the game at all..

They will be going up against a edge threat in Myles Garrett as well so the OLine had better be ready. Perhaps our defense will not be gashed repeatedly up the middle as it has been all year long. Wilks might want to try and tweak that interior defense for this game.

Upside is they have a pretty good chance to win. Downside is if they do win, they'll lose the inside track for the #1 overall pick.

I'll have the Makers Mark Casket strength on standby... :)

    How fitting... Go Jets!!!!

For a change I will be in New Jersey this weekend. Forecast shows rain for Sunday. I will look for a ticket on Saturday once I have more clarity on the rain. I missed Metlife and missed the tailgating. :)

I hope you mean "cask strength" which if in Single Malt language means 120 Proof. Be careful with that stuff.

Or it might be an allegory to how bad you think the Jets will perform?

    I will be there.

Justin Fields might complete 6 passes total with Miles Garrett coming for him.

They have a great defense and terrible offense. Whereas we have a terrible defense and a terrible offense. Browns win 12-3.

Yeah…putting up 39 on the Bengals is more indicative of their shit defense than our offense. We will struggle to break 10 points I think, and I expect another loss here. I hope the stadium is fucking empty and Woody has to look at that shit.

The 2-6 Browns vs the 1-7 Jets. Early forecast has rain this Sunday. I think you will get your wish about the stadium being empty. My guess is 40,000 - 45,000 show up at best.

I saw that the Bengals are giving up an average of 33 points a game which is an NFL worst (the Jets are not much better with an average of around 28)

I think the Jets lose this one even though the Browns are also terrible.

    Where's the poll?

I'm going with the Jets. I think it's important for this regime to win some games to establish some credibility, to establish the 'culture'.

Myles Garrett is a Jets killer supreme since his first NFL snap if I remember correctly but isn't that why the Jets have drafted OL early and often in recent drafts?

I have no idea what to expect from the Jets offense I'm not expecting 500 yards of offense (though that would be incredible & fun to see:)) but I have to believe they gained some confidence from what happened in Cincinnati & two weeks to prepare.

You may have a point about the Jet Offense coming alive. After Glenn ripped Tanner on the sidelines, the rookie OC opened up the playbook and the entire offense responded. Yeah, it was the Bungle D but still, 500yds is quite a feat for any offense in the NFL. Fields may have found some confidence too as he started to look like he was in charge in the huddle. Lets see what it looks like on Sunday and go from there.

    Correct.

Garrett's very first play in the NFL was a sack against Jet Josh McCown.

He also broke Trevor Seimians leg on a tackle week 2 in 2019 (Darnold Mono year)

I loved how they got everyone involved.

They have to keep that up and the trickery.

1-7 what have they got to lose? Heck even if they were 7-1 do it. It's fun to see.

It’s hard to really weigh how the defense will be for the rest of the year based on this game since Gabriel is just terrible.

But I expect the defense to be quite scrappy the rest of the year. You have a bunch of mostly young, low paid guys that want to tackle and run around and play football as they eye their next contracts.

It might be kind of fun to watch and at the least I’d expect them to be scrappy.

Actually I was thinking along the same lines…they may not be very good, but I would expect a lot of effort

I would also like to see these young receivers all get time opposite GW…not sure if GW is back this week, but if he is, I’d like to see Smith, Taylor, Williams, Metchie, and AD all get snaps and let’s see if anyone flashes

Do we give Cook some reps.

Or is this just the same old Jets fans dream of finding a hidden QB talent because we never seem to have one in the team?
