Thanksgiving Week 3 games on Turkey Day. Bears-Lions seems to be a good one. Too bad it is lunch time game. Dolphins-Packers game is the night cap for Turkey Day. Sunday slot seems to have a nice match up on SNF between 49ers and Bills. Steelers-Bengals also might be a good matchup. Same goes for Eagles-Ravens match up. Much better than Week 12 line up.
That pre HT fumble was a game changer I expect Lions to close this one out, even tho the leads cut to 10, they have the ball
I got dragged away to eat dinner with the Bears at the Lions 25 and plenty of time to at least kick a FG. Shocked to see them lose the game when I checked my phone. That might be the last straw for Eberflus. They already fired their OC and I’m sure Caleb has some input as to if he likes the coaching staff or not. If that happens it might be the best available coaching spot. Caleb’s been pretty good IMO. I never understood why everyone wanted to hate him coming out of USC?
Also maybe this is the growing old man in me but I can’t stand the halftime concert bullshit for either of these games. Play the fucking game.
He was one of those hires who I said who? Seemed pretty obvious that you should start Caleb Williams off with a fresh slate coach. I think the GM has actually done a decent job stocking the cupboard up minus trading Roquon Smith too. Offensive line needs some work but I don’t think it’s as bad as advertised. There’s talent on both sides of the ball though.
It wasn't the lack of calling the time out, it was the horrible play call combined with brainless play from the players. A good coach in that situation knows to call a short pass play to get them a few yards for the kicker, then call the time out. I see why they saved the time out, but I don't see why they called a play that took so long to develop. A good QB knows you can't take a sack there and if the play doesn't develop, throw the ball away asap. Williams is young and still learning the ropes, so I still think the blame is mostly on the coaches. You have to put him in better situations. Even if the ball is caught, the game is still over unless he gets a touchdown.
Or you just call the timeout and have 2-3 plays if you get out of bounds or 1-2 plays + a game tying FG.
Yeah... I shouldn't have said "all". I was just amazed that Caleb used up 7 secs. from when his line was set to when he called for the snap. Plus I had the Bears in an upset win...
Brock Bowers with 9 catches 115 yards and a TD against the SB champs. Didn't even scout him. Joe Douglas, get fired again.
