Yes, but the Jets have enough talent that they should be playing a LOT better than they are. The defense is supposed to be a top 5 unit and they can't get any pressure on the QB and they can't cover anyone. The offense thus far is really not looking any better than it did last year. Rogers is obviously not making the same mistakes as Zach Wilson, but the playcalling has pretty much put him in a straitjacket.
Took him more than two years to come around to the idea of maybe, just maybe, letting Sauce travel with the other team's #1. At that rate, he might make an adjustment to what the 49ers are doing when the Jets next play them in 2028.
One of the reasons that I think Ulbrich is overrated. He almost NEVER blitzes and he plays not to lose. His defense is almost entirely reliant on the athleticism of the players rather than effective, aggressive playcalling.
No Christian McCaffrey in there Jets defense is still getting 'rolled? Really? It looks too easy out there for the 49ers offense. We're supposed to have this big time defense yet 49ers offense is doing whatever it wants. Haven't broken a sweat so far looks like. 16-7 Jets are still in this game but have to make adjustments and start playing better.
It looks like the offensive is actively trying to run away from the interior offensive lineman. Tippman got blown to shit a couple times already and AVT whiffed big time. Not a good start for them.
