Today rookie's are reporting. As usual some days fans will be able to access. https://www.newyorkjets.com/fans/training-camp
I'll be happy to do what I can, but I added 6 new clients in the last week, and things are getting alot busier, so I may not be able to post as much as I have been this summer. Others need to pitch in as well.
FB Nick Bawden and rookie DT Leonard Taylor have also been placed on the PUP list and rookie QB Jordan Travis and rookie WR Tyler Harrell have been placed on the NFI (non-football injury) list.
If so, the Jets haven't announced it, but I don't think so. I think he was fine in OTAs, and was fine to travel to Egypt, so he is on the active roster.
Can’t wait for the vets to show opening day at training camp. Sure hope that our latest acquisition shows up in full force and takes a leadership role on the D from day one. But I have an uneasy feeling the malcontent will not show up.
Not directly related to training camp but love the rumor that the NYJ are trying to unload Lazard 40M contract as we enter training camp. Unfortunately no way I see that happening.
I saw some vague source mention a connection with the Steelers, not sure I see anything remotely like that happening unless the Jets take a beating.
Per Connor Hughes: "Here is some background on where the #Jets believed they stood with Haason Reddick after the trade, written during minicamp. He had told people in the building he planned on attending the offseason program — with or without deal. He has since skipped all of that & now the start of training camp."
Seems like Haason told the Jets he would attend the offseason programs without a new deal. If so, sort of a scummy move on his part. Essentially trying to strong-arm the Jets into paying him more by threatening to hold out.
"Fines much more significant during training camp v minicamp. They also had made it clear where they stood on a new contract. They’d rework current deal in terms of adding incentives, converting non-GTD to GTD, but weren’t ripping it up. Reddick understood this at time."
The Jets should have known that this was a possibility. Everything in this league is a contract negotiation. Everything. The fact that they didn't and went through with this trade is another reason Douglas should not receive a new contract in January. I shudder to think about how Douglas would botch the upcoming extensions for Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Sauce, and the rest of the crew that are going to be coming due in a couple of years.
I have tickets to the Saturday practice. Will be there with my son. If anybody else is planning to go, let me know.
Adam Schefter on X: "Sources: Jets DE Haason Reddick, who has not landed the new contract he has been seeking, is not planning to report to training camp today with the rest of his team. The Jets traded a conditional 2026 third-round pick that could become a second-round pick when they acquired https://t.co/iORMRMhBY2" / X
