We are hosting Bucs at Metlife. Bucs and Jets will have joint practices at Florham Park during the week.
Play Zach for the 1H and Boyle for the 2H. Wouldn't mind seeing Zach get 3Q tbh. The more the better. Becton another 30+ snaps. Don't play JJ or Huff, sign some schmucks off waivers and play them instead of JJ.
Looking forward to being back at MetLife. Hopefully they can build on what they did in the Carolina game. The defense was really impressive. Just hope we get good weather. It seems like every other day this summer in NJ we have a thunderstorm.
Mahomes played 3 plays and one of them he got hit hard when he scambled a first down. I'm not sure 3 plays is going to make a difference for Aaron Rodgers. Jets should have him go in and hand the ball off until they punt. Then they can say he played
Sorry man. Bills game can't be Rodgers' first ever game experience at Metlife. You are running a hard bargain. I want Aaron play full first quarter.
Yes. I don't want him to play in Giants game. But on August 19th which is 23 days away from Bills game is the perfect spot for Rodgers to get acclimated to Metlife and fans etc.
Why can't it be? Stafford and McVay literally just won the superbowl 2 years ago when zero starters touched the field for preseason. What does Rodgers and the offense gain by going up against some vanilla scheme defense? No one game plans for this crap. Rodgers recently said in an interview that he and the starters gain much more from live joined practices when they go heads up vs the team coming to visit? I was preaching that in another thread and then our QB even backed it up. It makes absolutely no sense for this guy to play 1 series, let alone an entire quarter man.
The argument would be for the rest of the offense gets more out of it than Rodgers does but that is what the joint practices are for. Go live, full speed and work on your timing. Not going up against some BS vanilla nonsense.
I want no part of AR on the field in preseason. He’s been around the block enough he doesn’t need it. I see no upside to playing him in preseason. None
Just an update. I now demand as a paying customer for Aaron Rodgers to play 1 full half. Okay okay. You and @dawinner127 make a lot of sense. But honestly guys, I don't see this as a huge injury risk compared to you. Maybe football benefit of Aaron playing in preseason is slim, I still want him acclimated to Metlife before his first official game against Bills on Monday Night Football.
Talking about "acclimated to MetLife" it might be interesting to watch the Giants play Friday night before the Jets get there Saturday to see how well the new turf works out.
Rodgers tweaked his calf in camp... in shorts & T-shirt. Better to keep him off the field away from some 3rd string DE trying to get noticed...
I will miss hearing the roar of the crowd when the Jets team enters the stadium… No doubt it will be felt in your gut!!!
